The Assistant Director of Nursing does more than just aide in the management of our nursing services! Oaknoll is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Health Center, Short-Stay Unit, and the Loft. Overseeing staffing, quality of care, and the environment of our nursing services. Monitoring quality indicators and managing quality improvement. Maintaining a knowledge of Oaknoll policies, nursing procedures, and regulations set forth by federal and state agencies as well as the Oaknoll Board of Directors. Acting as the primary point of contact for scheduling changes and time off requests, maintaining and updating the schedule template in OnShift and posting the bi-weekly schedule for nursing staff. Being on-call as scheduled by the Director of Nursing. Assisting the Director of Nursing in their duties as required and performing the duties of the Director of Nursing in their absence. The Assistant Director of Nursing may also be responsible for completing and managing all aspects of the MDS process and may be required to attend regular care plan meetings, assisting in evaluating resident's overall plans of care.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in nursing with at least 3 years' experience in a long-term care setting with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Must have a valid Iowa RN nursing license.
  • Must have valid CPR certification.
